Samuel (Sam) Gingerich
Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor (retired), University of Alaska Anchorage
Samuel (Sam) Gingerich, Co-Chair, recently retired from his position as provost and executive vice chancellor at the University of Alaska Anchorage after serving as the interim chancellor. Prior to these experiences, he served as the system vice president for academic affairs for the South Dakota Board of Regents, as provost at Mississippi University for Women, as interim president and as provost at Mesa State College (Colorado Mesa University), and as a faculty member and administrator at Northern State University (SD). Gingerich holds three degrees in chemistry: a Ph.D. from Montana State University, a M.S. from Cornell University, and a B.A. from Goshen College. He was instrumental in laying the foundation for the South Dakota system to join the Interstate Passport Network and in guiding the University of Alaska Anchorage to join as well.
